AFPM - Academy of Family Physicians Malaysia

The London College of Clinical Hypnosis and the Academy of Family Physicians Malaysia (more information click here) will be working in joint collaboration from May 2007. The Certificate, Diploma and Practitioners Diploma will be jointly accredited and each section of this training programme will be awarded with CME points.

The first of these courses will commence on the 26th May 2007 and to mark this joint collaboration the London College of Clinical Hypnosis will present the pre-congress workshop at the AFPM & RACGP Inaugural Joint General Practice Conference in Malaysia. This one day workshop is on Pain Management Thorough Clinical Hypnosis and the details are found below.

The Australian College and The Malaysian Academy have enjoyed a long and useful relationship since the late 70's. Datuk Assoc.prof (B) Dr. DM Thuraiappah who is the AFPM Organising Committee Chair welcomes the international flavour of the conference. The London College of Clinical Hypnosis (Malaysia) is proud to be part of the joint conference designed to forster stronger ties and share scientific knowledge and learning.

The AFPM

The AFPM is the organization in Malaysia which provides for professional development and continued medical education of the general practitioners. By providing this service of continuing education, the AFPM endeavours to improve the quality of healthcare delivery and is therefore concerned with higher quality of health of the people of Malaysia.

The AFPM promotes the concept of "One Family One Doctor" for Malaysians to support continuity of care. This Academy therefore provides the backbone of quality primary healthcare delivery in Malaysia.
